Top 5 Biggest Indian Mobile Companies Fails: There was a time when people used button mobile phones with great enthusiasm, but as time passed, people started moving towards smartphones because this was the era of technology when smartphones were rapidly making their way in the market. By the way, many mobile companies failed in India, but today in this article we will mention five such big companies which became very popular after their launch in India, but later these companies faced a huge setback from the market.

1. Noida ( Ringing Bells)

A Noida-based company, Ringing Bells, launched a mobile phone called Freedom 251. It was in February 2016 when Ringing Bells announced that it was going to make its first cheapest 3G smartphone, which would have a four-inch display, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, and a 3.2-megapixel back camera, and it would cost just 251 Indian rupees.

Then this company started advertising with the Indian flag in major Indian newspapers and when they made their mobile live on their website, they received about 60 million bookings. The traffic was so high that their website server crashed.

But after some time, when people looked at the mobile carefully, they found that a company logo had been hidden on the top of the mobile with the help of whitener. When this whitener was removed from the top, the branding of the ADCOM company was revealed from the bottom. This shows that this was a huge scam in the Indian market. After that, the CEO of this mobile company was arrested and today this mobile is almost gone from the Indian market.

2. Micromax

There was a time when Micromax was considered the king of the Indian market in the world of smartphones. It was basically an IT company that came into existence in March 2000. Micromax is a multinational manufacturer of many consumer electronics and home appliances, which was the most famous company in India for providing feature phones at very low cost.

Then in 2016, when Jio launched 4G SIM, people wanted to buy 4G mobiles, but Micromax intervened here because they did not have their own phones, they used to import them from China and send them with their own stamps. Similarly, even after that, it has almost disappeared from the market.

3. Karbonn

There was a time when Karbonn company ads were all over TV. Anyone with a budget of less than Rs 10,000 to buy a smartphone would always choose Karbonn because it had become so popular in the Indian market that if you wanted to buy a good smartphone at a low price, Karbonn was the first name that came to mind.

Karbonn was so popular that Google chose Karbonn as a brand ambassador or partner in its Android one program, and later sponsored Karbonn in the T20 Champions League.

The best thing about selling Karbonn was that it had about 85,000 retail counters and was a mobile that could reach everywhere. But when Vivo and Oppo came to the market, they started giving shopkeepers three to five percent more commission than this. After that, slowly, Karbonn’s sales went down and other things started happening in it, and after that Karbonn also almost disappeared from the market.

4. Intex

Intex is a multinational technology company headquartered in New Delhi, India. Intex was famous for making various types of smartphones, home electronics, and other similar products. If we talk about the time before 2000, Intex keyboards and mouse were seen in almost every institution.

Taking advantage of this marketing, Intex thought that why not launch its own smartphone in the market? Intex initially gained a lot of popularity in the smartphone world, but as technology advanced, Intex could not innovate its smartphone at its speed, due to which the market of Intex had fallen significantly by 2015.

At one time, they had become so rich that they had even bought the IPL team, but by not bringing modern software and innovation to their mobiles, Intex also went out of the market within 10-15 years, but they still launched their first products in the market like consumer electronics and selling multimedia speakers etc.

5. Xolo

In 2012, Lava was also a very well-known mobile phone in the Indian market, but its real goal was features. Then, to grab the market, Lava launched Xolo. This was a mobile phone that had a very premium look and it actually targeted the youth of India so that they would sell their mobile to more young people.

Xolo was the first mobile phone that introduced the Intel processor in India. Earlier people knew Intel only in computers, but Xolo introduced the Intel processor in this mobile phone. Now the interesting thing is that the Intel processor that was introduced by the people, its architecture was X86 architecture, it was not compatible with Android, due to which many bugs started appearing in the mobile apps and finally Xolo reached their destination and began to disappear from the market
